What is the difference between the Premier/Premier Plus Plans and the Basic Plan?
With the Basic Plan, the Gate Smart Lock can maintain 4 permanent-access users. Both the Premier Plan and Premier Plus Plan plans grant an unlimited number of permanent-access users.
Additionally, both the Premier Plan and Premier Plus Plan allow you to view videos recorded on your Gate Smart Lock from the last 5 or 30 days, respectively. Both plans allow you to schedule limited-time guest PIN codes. For example, this feature allows you to set up a PIN code for your dog walker so that they can only access your home on Mondays and Fridays from 1-3pm. With the Premier Plan, you can give scheduled access to 10 users each month, while with Premier Plus Plan, you can give an unlimited number of scheduled access pincode. The scheduled access and video features are not available on the Basic Plan.

How can I subscribe to the Premier Plan or Premier Plus Plan?
Only Gate account owners and administrators can subscribe to a plan. You’ll see the option to subscribe to a plan in your Gate app. You’ll be automatically redirected to the mobile web version of getgate.com to complete your purchase. You cannot subscribe to the a plan at the time of purchase for your Gate Smart Lock; you’ll only have the option once you’ve created your Gate account.
Do I have to subscribe to the Premier Plan or Premier Plus Plan in order to use my Gate Smart Lock?
No, subscribing to the Premier Plan or Premier Plus Plan is optional.
Is there a free trial for the Premier Plan or Premier Plus Plan?
Yes, all new users receive a 30-day free trial of the Premier Plus Plan.
Does the Premier Plan or Premier Plus Plan require any contracts or long-term commitments?
As a subscription service, the Premier Plan or Premier Plus Plan will continue to renew until cancellation. However, customers can cancel at any time.
How many Gate Smart Locks can be covered under a Premier Plan or Premier Plus Plan?
Both plans will cover a single Gate Smart Lock. You can choose to upgrade individual locks if you have more than one.
Do I have to pay for extra smartphones connected to a Gate Smart Lock under the Premier Plan or the Premier Plus Plan?
You pay per Gate Smart Lock, not per the number of connected devices.
What will happen to my video and audio recordings if I don't subscribe to the Premier Plan or the Premier Plus Plan after the trial period?
Your video and audio recordings will become hidden from view when you're subscribed to the Basic Plan. Should you subscribe in the future to the Premier Plan, please note Gate will automatically populate activity from the previous 5 days assuming you are still using the same Gate account. If you subscribe to the Premier Plus Plan, Gate will automatically populate activity from the previous 30 days. Activity prior to the last 30 days will not be available.
If I upgrade from the Basic Plan to the Premier Plan or Premier Plus Plan, how will I be charged?
You will enter in your credit or debit card details using our third-party payments platform. Please note that at this time you cannot pay for your subscription via PayPal, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, check, invoice, via your bank account, or any other method. You will be required to pay with a credit card.
Can I use my bank account to pay?
At this time, you can only pay by credit or debit card.
How can I cancel my subscription plan?
Visit http://www.getgate.com/login and authenticate using your phone number. Select your Gate from the orange drop-down menu on the left side. Choose “Cancel Subscription” at the bottom of the screen. Please note that all cancellations will automatically take effect at the end of the current billing term. For monthly subscriptions, it will be the end of the month and for yearly subscriptions, it’s the end of the paid year. Gate does not offer prorated refunds.
What happens if I want to pause my subscription for a period of time?
Users do not have the option to pause any paid subscriptions.
What happens to my recordings if I cancel my subscription plan?
Your video history will become inaccessible in the Gate app.
Can I see the recorded videos of my last 30 days as soon as I purchase the Premier Plan?
Yes, the video history on your Gate Smart Lock will be populated immediately.
How can I change my credit card information used for my Premier Plan?
Please contact Gate Customer Support to update your credit card information.
Can I move my subscription plan to another Gate Smart Lock?
Yes, please contact Gate Customer Support to help you with this.
What happens to my subscription plan if I change the name of my Gate Smart Lock? What about moving the lock to a new address if I move or change my phone number?
To change your phone number or your address please disconnect your Gate Smart Lock from WiFi and reconnect. You can change the name of your lock on your existing subscription.
Is there an automatic renewal for the Premier Plan or Premier Plus Plan?
Yes, as a subscription-based service it will auto-renew until cancellation.
